Baby’s First Year

Lets face it, most pregnant women are not feeling the prettiest in their last trimester of pregnancy! However, you will only be pregnant with this child once – it is one of those fleeting moments that in the midst seems to take forever, but looking back you realize how quickly and special even pregnancy was. My maternity sessions are designed to help you feel as beautiful as possible and to also capture and immortalize a special time that is more fleeting than realized. These sessions are simple and sweet and done either in-home or at an outdoor location.

Session includes:
• 1-1.5hr in-home or at a pre-agreed upon outdoor location
• simple shots with focus on momma
• minimum of 15 high resolution digital images
• print release

A short but sweet session in the first 48 hours of your baby’s life. This session focuses on the new baby and the emotions of the first hours with your baby. Similar to the newborn session, a $50 retainer is required to reserve the session. To coordinate the session, mom, dad, or a close family member will notify me during labor or as soon after delivery as possible.

Session includes:
• 30-60min in-hospital session
• simple lifestyle shots with focus on baby
• minimum of 15 high resolution digital images
• print release

Simple and tasteful photos of your new little one with minimal props. The focus is on your newborn. I come to you with everything, and set up in your home. I find from experience that new moms love not traveling in the first weeks after giving birth. I recommend for newborn sessions that they are best photographed in the first two weeks of life – as they are in their squishiest and sleepiest stage. 10 days after birth is ideal. It is a $50 retainer to reserve your spot and once received, I will schedule you into my calendar based on your expected due date. When baby arrives, I ask that mom or dad calls as soon as possible to finalize a date and time.

• 3-4 hr session in your home with ample time if baby needs breaks
• multiple poses of just baby
• simple lifestyle shots with immediate family members
• minimum of 20 high resolution digital images
• print release

Milestone shoots are just that – documenting your baby’s precious milestones as they grow through their first year. These shoots are designed for 3 months, 6 months and 9 months. They are used to showcase just how quickly your baby changes over their first year of life. I recommend scheduling these sessions for approximately two weeks after each of the milestone ages in order to try to capture those big moments at each stage. From those wide-mouth grins at three months, to sitting at six months, to crawling at nine months! However, every baby is different, so if yours is hitting those milestones earlier or later I will do my best to accommodate.

• 1-1.5 hr session in-home or at an outdoor location
• multiple poses of baby
• if part of a milestone package – one pose will be done similarly throughout sessions
• minimum of 15 high resolution digital images
• print release

This is such a special and important milestone. One that you will treasure forever. This is a fun shoot really showing how much your baby changed in their first year. This shoot is still simple and tasteful, but with a bit of added flair helping to bring in the celebration. I recommend scheduling this session approximately one month prior to their birthday if images will be used for invitations. I cannot wait to help you celebrate!
