I am Rebecca, an ex full-time working mother turned stay-at-home mom, homeschool teacher, photographer, and hobby farmer. I worked hard for many years as a chemist, but after the birth of my fourth child, as a family we decided to change not only the direction of my career, but also the entire way we were living. We really shook things up and now live on a small ranch outside the small town of Elizabeth, Colorado where we daily enjoy the blessings we have been given. Life has changed drastically, not with how busy I am, but where I am able to focus my time and attention – namely on what is most important to me: God, our family, my photography, and growing our farm.
With the birth of each of my seven children, photography has slowly matured from a hobby to an appreciation and finally into a passion. Learning to capture those small beautiful moments in life that seem so fleeting has become imperative to creating my work. It seems as if, with the gift of each of my beautiful children, that the understanding of what time really is has been slowly impressed upon me. With each of my children I want to capture every moment of their lives as they grow from newborn to child to young adult and even beyond. I understand the desire as a mother, not just to have beautiful images of your children and family on the walls of your home, but the meaning and memory behind what those images become. With my photography I strive to give the same gift to you to hang on the walls of your own home. Not just beautiful images – but memories captured in time of those you hold closest to your heart.
